Job Description

About MedArrive:

MedArrive is a fast-paced and fast-growing start up on a simple mission: Improving people’s lives by bringing more humanity to healthcare. Our enemy is an often soulless, transactional healthcare system that’s increasingly engineering the vital human touch away from the experience – and often hard to access.

We are looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle Management to be a part of building a data-driven product and service culture at MedArrive.

About the Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Role:

As the Director, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), you will oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle organization to ensure that contracted revenue for MedArrive provided care is collected in a timely and compliant manner. You will collaborate across the organization to implement RCM adjacent best practices, and build and maintain a technical infrastructure with an automation-first approach.  You will be accountable for the management and collection of open accounts receivable, and for the work that is needed to collaborate with payers to ensure accurate and timely payment. This may include denials management, claims construction and validation, and billing edit management, among other things.  You will lead the compliance work for the RCM function, ensuring that compliance related policies are adhered to and that internal and third-party audit programs are supported and collaborated with.

What you’ll do:

The Director, RCM will be responsible to:

  • Oversee A/R and cash management for all of the MedArrive payer-reimbursable programs
  • Represent RCM at pricing and deal negotiations
  • Maintain consistent operational performance while optimizing technical tools and operational workflows to reduce the overall cost to collect
  • Establish, report-out, and provide insight on key performance indicators for the revenue cycle to MedArrive peers and leadership
  • Create and Monitor a best-practice compliance program, including the monitoring of policy and procedure, coding compliance and audit, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and payer regulatory requirements
  • Oversee credentialing of employees with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Payers
  • Support the implementation of new programs by developing and implementing RCM roadmaps for the stand-up of new programs (this includes technical system setup and testing, vendor relationship expansion or contraction, internal operational readiness, and all aspects of a successful RCM go-live)
  • Build and lead a team of RCM Analysts, Managers, and Directors to support the work of revenue cycle, in  line with the scale of the business

What you’ll need:

Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  2. 5-8 years of experience in healthcare administration or finance
  3. 4+ years of experience in provider revenue cycle management, with a minimum of 2 years of A/R oversight and accountability

  5. Proven track record managing cross-functional teams, including hiring, performance management, and process optimization
  6. Deep understanding of the Payer/Provider reimbursement ecosystem, including alternate models of payment such as Value-based bundling, capitation arrangements, and outcomes-based reimbursement.

Preferred:

  • MPA or in a related field
