About the Team

The Corporate Finance team is responsible for enterprise level planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and capital allocation.  In this highly visible role you’ll use your strong analytical, critical reasoning, communication, and influencing skills to help ensure Cloudflare meets its overall strategic, operational, and financial goals.  The ideal candidate is passionate about both problem solving as well as building high quality repeatable processes that scale with our rapid growth. 

What you’ll do

• Support the development of our strategic asset allocation framework. Leverage your deep insights into revenue and cost drivers across the business to form actionable recommendations, including where to slow down or or accelerate, bearing in mind short and long-term investment horizons
• Drive the Corporate forecasting and budgeting processes, including Annual Planning as well as monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Work cross functionally to build financial forecasts across the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow including tax, stock comp, share count and EPS
• Develop and maintain our forecasting models. Build partnerships with functional managers to understand business drivers, trends, opportunities and risks
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial closes and provide input on management and external reporting needs
• Support Investor Relations with inputs for Investor Models and related Q&A. Contribute to earnings releases, M&A activities and other corporate initiatives 
• Prepare financial updates for the Executive Team and Board of Directors
• Drive efficiency through finance processes by automating, simplifying, or eliminating routine work
• Special projects, ad hoc analyses and strategic deal support
• This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance or Investment Banking with prior experience in a corporate FP&A function. High growth, public company SaaS experience preferred
• Finance minded with high attention to detail and a strong operational focus to drive process and execution in a scalable and repeatable way
• Intellectually curious with problem solving orientation. Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen with ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems. Not satisfied with easy or convenient answers
• Experience building trust and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in simplifying and distilling complex business information into consumable and actionable takeaways 
• Willingness to play “up and down the stack” diving into the details as well as managing Executive level communications
• Expert at financial modeling with strong working knowledge of US GAAP.  Advanced skills in both MS Excel and Google Sheets required
• High proficiency with financial systems. Anaplan, Netsuite, RevPro, Salesforce and Tableau experience is a plus
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or quantitative field

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

• For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $150,000 – $184,000.
• For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area) and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $145,000 – $177,000.
• For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $150,000 – $184,000.
