As a Game Designer, you will utilize your love of games along with your innovation and creative problem-solving skills to define and craft experiences that affect our players over the lifetime of their relationship with the products that we (and you) develop. You will collaborate across disciplines with other developers who bring their creativity and expertise to work every day.

TYPICAL TRAITS:

  • You’ll need to have a basic understanding of game design fundamentals
  • You’ll also need to be familiar with quest, mission, or encounter design best practices
  • Experience telling stories through gameplay
  • Success in this role will rely heavily on your ability to translate designs from ideas to final implementation in the game
  • You’ll be familiar with giving and receiving constructive design feedback
  • It will be essential to the success in this role for you to be able to communicate clearly with a variety of different disciplines, to drive consensus, and to always be a voice for the player experience

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience with implementing content in a live game
  • Familiarity with Guild Wars 2, especially the ongoing lore and story
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as lua or python
  • Familiarity with user experience best practices
  • Familiarity with designing multi-player content

We are open to remote work in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, NC, NV, NY OR, TX, UT and WA or onsite/hybrid/flex at our office in Bellevue, WA.

Total compensation is salary plus an annual bonus potentialPlease note that the listed pay range is a general guideline only. We take into consideration the geography in which you live and your experience and qualifications when determining final salary. This role is also eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short and long term disability, 401(k), flexible and dependent care spending accounts, PTO, paid holidays and parental leave.

Remote pay range

$75,000—$110,000 USD
